Our first Winter in the new home, on a hill, pretty exposed so we had no idea what to expect. We do know what Winter can be like anywhere in the UK having both lived North and South so, would we get snow? Would we get snowed in?
But before any of the happened, the Aurora Borealis put on a show we couldn't believe and not just here but as far South as Pembrokeshire, maybe further, a stunning sight to see and probably the first time I've seen both colours and movement in the Aurora outside of the Arctic circle but first, the moon.
November 2nd must have been a lovely clear night, the moon rising was clear and easy to view. This is a Waxing Gibbous moon!!!! Means it's growing from crescent to full! It's Waning, when it's shrinking from full to crescent and gone.
These two shots are with the same lens, the first set at 150mm hence it's smaller / further away ;) the second set at 600mm and so much closer.
