I discovered that I could capture images of the night sky as well as the wider sky view, very little pollution and the biggest, clearest skies I've had access to for a long time, so ....

Sun going down in early July 2022

With the big sky behind us we started seeing fabulous sunsets and I started to experiment with different exposures
I've also seen some amazing cloud shapes and patterns
Less pollution in general also meant that the moon, for example was also nice and clear, when it is visible of course.
This clear, wide view also gave access to weather over the Angus Glens
I do love watching weather, usually bad, happening somewhere else, or even coming my way, I had called this shot Season's End but it wasn't, not yet :)
I have now seen cloud forms that I don't remember seeing before and having this long, wide view of weather is wonderful and I still watch it every day but, it was the clearer nights that really got my attention.
I found myself just "popping out" a lot more, just to look up.
